Slot & Snap is a modular cardboard construction system designed to encourage open-ended, imaginative play among children aged 5 to 8. The project addresses the growing issue of passive digital consumption by offering a hands-on alternative that promotes creativity, spatial reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Using simple geometric panels and reusable twist-lock connectors, children can freely build, dismantle, and rebuild structures such as vehicles, houses, and abstract forms.

The system is supported by a Builder Basics guide and a companion app that allows parents to document and preserve their child’s creations. Sustainability is integrated through reusable slot protectors that extend the product’s lifespan even when cardboard panels wear out. Slot & Snap aims to blend educational value, environmental consciousness, and meaningful parent-child interaction into one cohesive play experience.
