
Dr Geraldine Tan
Director & Principal Psychologist @ The Therapy Room
Geraldine holds a Doctorate in Psychology (Clinical) (California) and a Masters in Applied Psychology (Singapore). She is a registered psychologist and registered clinical supervisor with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP). She has almost a quarter of a century of experience working with individuals with a multitude of psychological problems. Geraldine prides herself in being trained in a number of techniques including Choice and Reality Therapy (CTRT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Her desire to help has filled her toolbox with exciting therapeutic methods like, Hypnotherapy, and Artistic Therapeutic methods like, Play, Clay, Sand and Colour Therapy. She uses these techniques to help clients with clinical disorders and behavioural issues. Geraldine also conducts psychological testing such as for cognitive functioning. Her clients span from the young ones with learning disabilities like dyslexia to autism and adults with depression, anxiety, personality disorders to marital issues. On top of having conducted workshops and talks for numerous organisations, Geraldine has been featured widely in the media to educate the public about different disorders. She is on “Therapy Tuesdays”, which is a much adored segment on Kiss92 a local radio station. In acknowledgement for her work and contributions, she has been awarded the Sheroes award (2019) and Singapore 40-over-40 (2023).
